Common questions about publishing, reviewing, and using OpenResearch.
How do I submit a manuscript?
Log in or create an author account, then use Submit Article to start the submission wizard. You can save your progress as a draft and finish it later from My Submissions.
What are the formatting requirements?
Requirements vary slightly by journal. See Author Guidelines and select the journal you're submitting to for its specific word count, referencing style, and abstract requirements.
How does peer review work?
Every submission goes through editorial screening and double-blind peer review. See our full Peer Review Process page for the stages involved.
What happens if I'm asked to revise my manuscript?
If an editor requests revisions, you'll see a "Revise & Resubmit" option on My Submissions, along with the editor's decision letter explaining what's needed.
Can I review manuscripts for a journal?
Reviewer accounts are set up by the editorial team. If you'd like to be considered as a reviewer, contact us with your area of expertise.
Are articles really free to read?
Yes — all journals on this platform are open access. See Open Access and Copyright for details on licensing and reuse.
How do I search for articles?
Use Advanced Search to filter by journal, discipline, keyword, article type, date range, and open access status.
